We are pleased to update you on God’s progress through His Church at Work. We have detailed some highlights below to give you more insight into God’s activity. We are blessed to see God’s favor flowing as we implant our unique church process in local congregations across the nation. We are seeing great fruit and it is our privilege to impart what God has entrusted to us as we empower local churches with this intentional WorkLife Discipleship and Outreach strategy that becomes seamlessly infused into the DNA of a church’s ministry plan. In essence we are helping local congregations shepherd the “scattered church” effectively to impact the marketplace.

HCAW WORKLIFE UNIVERSITY™ Accelerates Church Training and Impact!
His Church at Work has been pioneering an innovative process to help local churches equip and deploy working believers in a sustainable way. Recently, we tested and released a scalable method of training multiple churches. We call this process Worklife University™ “Excellence in WorkLife Education and Application.” We recently graduated a group of churches with great results. We envision hundreds and eventually thousands of churches being trained and empowered like this. The last four churches have a combined membership of over 15,000 and join many other churches across the nation. This leveraged influence is a huge force in the marketplace for the Glory of God as they start to train, equip and release their members to be on mission for Jesus at work.

HCAW WORKLIFE MINISTRY LAUNCHES

Frazer Memorial United Methodist, Montgomery, AL

Dr. Henry Blackaby, best-selling author of “Experiencing God” joined us at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church to challenge this church to join God at work on January 23rd in Montgomery, Alabama. So much enthusiasm was created that the primary secular newspaper, the Montgomery Advertiser reported on this. Click here to read. In the first two weeks almost 1,000 members at Frazer have engaged in the Work Life ministry process we set in place. During his visit Doug Spada, HCAW’s Founder, interviewed Dr. Blackaby in the Frazer television studio about what he sees God doing among His people and specifically the local church’s role in this movement. Dr. Blackaby indicated that he has never seen God so active in his lifetime in the workplace. He also affirmed what we have sensed about the church’s role. Hosanna Lutheran, a Spirit-led church launched Worklife Ministry over several weeks in January and February with Ed Silvoso, founder of Harvest Evangelism powerfully teaching during our work ministry launch at this church.
Over a 1,000 have engaged in the WorkLife Ministry in these first two weeks alone. The following note from Hosanna’s senior pastor, Bill Bohline highlights the incredible move of God among His people in their work lives:

At the conclusion of our Worklife ministry launch on the 9-5 Window – the Workplace, we invited all who desired to come forward for a time of blessing. They came forward by the 100's, many with tears in their eyes. They were instructed to say 'my name is Nancy and I'm a nurse'. One of our prayer partners would then anoint them and say: "Nancy, I anoint you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit as a nurse in the kingdom of God. Go in peace and let your light shine." It was powerful. – Pastor Bill Bohline`

Wayzata Evangelical Free is in the midst of a multiple-week Worklife ministry launch through February with Bob Bakke, an Evangelical Free Church denominational leader sharing the pulpit one Sunday about the vision for WorkLife ministry. Great things are in process at Wayzata as they ramp up their discipleship process for those in the workplace.

Oak Pointe Church, Northville, MI

Oak Pointe Church in Northville, MI has partnered with HCAW to fulfill their mission. At Oak Pointe they see the opportunity to intentionally help their congregation reach up, reach in and reach out during their work lives. They are in the process right now of launching this ministry with a sermon series on “The God of Monday" and discipleship processes starting after that.

NEW TEAM MEMBER
Amy Sayre Vejar has joined the HCAW team as Executive coordinator for the WorkLife University as well as other areas. Amy is a seasoned executive whose experience at Boeing and as CEO of entrepreneurial companies is extensive. She was the first woman president of a Boeing management organization among her many achievements. Amy recently stepped out of corporate responsibility to fully pursue the next phase of God’s call on her life. Amy has already brought essential expertise and practical assistance to our entire team in building our WorkLife University training and ongoing coaching process to Pastors and WorkLife Directors. Her calm, firm leadership style has been strongly felt in just this short time period.
